Ocean Prime Seafoods loves to share customer recommended recipes. Here’s one from our good friend, and fantastic cook, Julee, for HALIBUT or SCALLOPS. We love it because it can be prepared in about 10 minutes.
SCALLOPS or HALIBUT with Cheese
1 lb Ocean Prime Seafoods Bay SCALLOPS rinsed and patted dry
3-4 Tablespoons butter
3-4 Tablespoons Chardonnay
6 Ounces (or as much as you like!) Monterey Jack, or Pepper Jack, shredded
2 Tablespoons crushed croutons
chopped green onions on the top right before serving (optional)
Butter a glass dish. Sprinkle with pepper. Dot with butter and wine. Cover with cheese and sprinkle with crushed croutons. Bake at 500 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
You can also use this same recipe on a Halibut fillet and cook it at 350 for about 12-15 minutes. (1/2 the recipe for an Ocean Prime Seafoods individual portion of 6 oz., and check it at 8-10 minutes.)
The scallops (or halibut) goes where? In the buttered dish then sprinkled with pepper and followed by the rest of the ingredients ending with crushed croutons? Recipe is not clear.
Hi Nancy,
Thanks for your question. We put the scallops or halibut in the buttered dish, and then sprinkle with pepper, and follow the rest of the directions, ending with crushed croutons on top. Hope that helps! Enjoy!!
